For this assignment, write a 45 page paper in which you analyze possible market entry strategies for your company and make a recommendation. The paper should include:
- An analysis describing the company and product (or service) strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) as they apply to the country. Evaluate the companys ability to expand into the country (international) market.
- Notation and explanation of product or service alteration that might be required. Identify and describe possible alterations to products or services for identified markets.
- Detailed information on organizational readiness for international marketing operations.
- An analysis of the common market entry methods your company could use to enter the markets within the chosen country. Take into account your companys culture, risks, and other factors as you form your analysis. Based on the chosen companys products or services, examine the risks and benefits of each entry method, and its appropriateness.
- A summary of possible entry methods, and a recommendation for one market entry method. Support your rationale for the method you choose. If your company has a number of products and services, choose one example to use as the basis of your analysis. For example, if you wish to focus on a product, you could look at representatives or building plants in the country as possible various market entry strategies. Or, if you focus on a service, you could examine licensing or franchising as possibilities. Note: Your choice of product, product line, or service will also serve as the basis of your marketing plan assignment in Unit 6 for your final project assignment.
